Boxing Day, 2008

The day after Christmas is always a big day in the Remler family. We go to JoJo's house where we roast oysters, play games, burn a bonfire and eat more food than we ought to. But we all look forward to sundown, when we can burn the Christmas tree. This year, Davis was the fire marshal. Brett and Lawson were the washers champs.

Christmas 2008

The Remlers celebrated a relaxing Christmas this year. We stayed home all day and cooked pork on the grill while Davis and Lawson enjoyed opening and playing with their gifts. Davis sailed his remote-control sailboat on the lagoon at the golf club while Lawson hosted his own bb gun shot-a-palooza in the back yard. Also included in the festivities was a tournament of ladder golf.

Sisters' Luncheon 2008

Nancy Peterson hosted a lovely luncheon for the Lawson sisters, sister in-law, daughters and grand-daughters. We had a fun time catching up with aunts and cousins, touring Letty & Tom's home, playing Christmas games and lunching on delicious food. How gracious of Nancy to bring us all together this way during the holiday season.

Thanksgiving, 2008

What didn't we eat during the Thanksgiving holiday? After consuming fried turkey, smoked turkey, Boston butt, lasagna, ambrosia, lemon blossoms, hot dogs, hamburgers, baked beans, and lots and lots of slaw, we were thankful that nobody starved to death. But the food was only part of the festivities. A cozy camp fire, fish-a-palooza, another camp fire, moving the syrup bowl, riding the Polaris Ranger, another camp fire, shoot-a-palooza, a trip to Unadilla, and an even bigger camp fire--we got all the goodie out of this Thanksgiving. Can't wait 'til next year!

Fall, 2008

We've had a very busy fall this year. Stephen celebrated his 43rd birthday with a party and mini chocolate cakes. Lawson has been the luckiest fisherman this year, bringing home some trout for dinner. Lawson also received awards and St. Peter's first quarter honors assembly.
