What's in Your Cooler?

The Dawgs may have lost last night, but the fish were biting today at Williamson Island. As we spent the afternoon there, we wondered what we would eat for dinner tonight. Nobody had pulled anything out of the freezer. But Lawson stepped up to bat. "Don't worry," he said. "I'll catch dinner." And he did. We weren't equipped to take home fresh fish, so we took our drinks out of the cooler so we could take Lawson's catch home. Crispy scored flounder. Mm, mm. Nothing better.

2008 BC Commissioning Dance

BC's Commissioning Dance
September 13, 2008
Davis's date was Glory Padgett. Isn't she pretty? Before the dance, Cadet Remler paid a visit to his grandparents so they could see him in his uniform. Then, Davis, Glory and their friends met at the yacht club for photos. After dinner at the Exchange, they went to the commissioning and to the dance that followed.

Labor Day, 2008

Boats, birthdays, bats and Boston butts.
Labor day weekend was full of treats and surprises. We skied and tubed on the pond, ate fish and pork roast and relaxed on the dock. The catfish got away, but the bat wasn't so lucky.
