Pretzel Time

Lawson recently had a fun family life project to do at school: prepare a dish with his mother and then bring it to school to serve the whole class. Immediately we got to work. The first order of business was to write a five-paragraph essay on the following thesis: Parents should not have to do homework because they've already passed fourth grade. Next, we planned the cooking segment: What's the easiest thing we can make with the littlest amount of effort? It didn't take long for us to think of chocolate covered pretzels--easy enough, just melt some chocolate and dip the pretzels in them. That dish was so easy Lawson could do it by himself, so that's what he did. All his mom had to do was show up at 2:00 on Friday for the presentation, which consisted of passing out said pretzels. Nancy's still not sure why her presence was necessary, but it was nice to see all the kids gobble up Lawson's snacks. He was the most popular kid in fourth grade that day!
