Who cares how hot it is? Low tide's at 12:30--the perfect time for crabbing. We strung up some chicken necks in crab traps, in baskets and on lines and waited for some hungry blue crabs to come a nibblin'. We caught about a dozen or so off the dock, then Davis, Lawson and Mary Elizabeth took off in the Carolina Skiff in search of more. We supplemented our shellfish dinner with filet of Mackerel, which Stephen and Davis caught last weekend. Kelley provided the shrimp, sausage and pasta salad. Not bad for an impromptu meal on a scorching afternoon.
